    Are HOA fees negotiable
I am in the process of buying a condominium unit in a very new building in Pompano Beach, Florida. Since hardly anyone is buying in this building and the current HOA fees are just ridiculous, my question is, is it appropriate to negotiate the HOA fees as well?

The HOA fees are set according to the Association's budget. They have to be the same amount for each owner according to the amount of space their unit occupies. The builder may be willing to negotiate some of the construction costs but the HOA is a separate, not for profit company and the builder doesn't have the authority to change their fees.
