    Finding Codes for my 98 Nissan Altima
    It was suggested I check for codes.. where would I find them or how do I go about finding them :confused: :confused:

    If the Check Engine Light is on, it's a signal a code was stored in the ECM (computer). If the CEL is not on, there's nothing to worry about.

    AutoZone will plug a code reader into the Data Link Connector, under the dash, and read any stored codes for free.
