    Electrical Wiring
I currently have a 20 amp circuit for my frig outlet in the basement. I would like to install a recessed 6" IC Halo fixture on this circuit. To do so, can I use a 14/2 gauge wire or should I use a 12/2 wire which is meant for the 20 amp circuit?

Hello! I'm not an expert in the field, but I know as standard practice that you should always use the same size wire gauge as is designated by the size of the circuit. Ex. 10-gauge 30A, 12-gauge 20A, 14-Gauge 15A. It's also code! I hope this helps... good luck.
