Very Shy how do I make friends?
    Your Question

Very Shy how do I make friends?
I haven't made any friends for about 20 years. I just recently asked someone to join me for dinner, and we had a great time. 1 week later I felt I wanted to get together again, and they yes, they will call with their open dates. I would like this person as a friend, but I have no experience making them, once this meeting is over, is it okay to cal them once per week to talk or ask to have dinner again, or is this too aggressive? How do I know what to do?

Once a week is a great start. When I first moved to my new city I posted an ad on Craiglist Platonic section for new friends in the area. Worked great. That's where I met three of my best friends!

Find things you have in common, and suggest doing those kind of things maybe once a week. It could be films you like and you could invite them round to watch them as you have been bored on your own. If you have similar hobbies activities you could arrange a set evening each week where you could get together and do those

I think if you are shy, the first thing you need to do is get involved in sports... get active and meet people through your participation. There are so many sports suited to all kinds of people. :)

Go to a health club and learn how to lift weights and speed walk, for openers. :)

    Best wishes,

Yes get involved, do things, church or religious groups of some faith,
Look into activities at a Y or at a center of some sort.
    As noted

And a lot depends on what sort of friend, if you want someone to "date" or merely friends doing things
