    Quit claim deed deception
Executed a quit claim deed and held the form in a file for safe keeping until we were to be married. She decides because we were to be married the following year to search for it and then caused the deed to be recorded. She then decides to hand back the engagement ring and moves out.She then states that half the property is now her's.I did not deliver this document to her and was asked by her to perform this gesture as an act of good faith towards marriage.

no, if you legally wrote and signed a quitclaim deed, ( well first you were suppose to file it when you signed it) but if witnessed or notorised it should be valid, So yes she owns 1/2 of the property at this point, you will need to try and sue her for the value in an attempt to prove to the court it was done as a deception,

You shoulid not have signed it, till you were really ready to give it to her.
