    DLS5492:

Need to know what heats your hot water first..

Do you have an electric or a gas water heater? Does your hot water come off your boiler or from a wall mounted "tankless" system?

Let us know what heats the water and we can tell you what to do next... ;)

Your pilot light may have gone out. If it has you will need to follow the instructions on your water heater to re-light it. Usually one has to turn the gas knob off for a few minutes and then turn to a pilot light mark and push in and hold while your reach in and light the pilot light. Hold the knob in for approximately a minute and then release and turn the knob all the way to "on". If that lights the pilot light, you will have hot water in about an hour. If it does not light the pilot light then you will need to replace the thermo-coupler. Unless you are familiar with this you may need to contact a plumber.
