    Family owes me money
    My aunt asked my mom for money to pay a plain ticket and some bills she had.. after a few years she had paid less than half the money and now is refusing to pay I have no singed papers or anything just a couple of witnesses and the statements from the credit card witch she used! Where do I stand in court do I have a chance of getting the money or I'm I going to have to pay it

    I would suggest paying it if its owed in your name, and then take her to court (if that really is the last resort). I think the judge will hear you out since you have witnesses, and billsnin her name on your credit card..

    If you mom loaned her the money, why are you having to repay it?

    I guess I missed that part, I thought the OP meant that her Aunt borrowed money from her.

    Because its my mom she is sort of old and don't work no more she lives with me so I'm the one that's going to have to pay it

    It's not your debt so, no, you don't have to pay it. In fact, you have no legal standing in this. You cannot be sued for the debt nor can you sue on behalf of your mother.
