    If there is any chain still remaining in the switch, I would strongly recommend that you find a little bead chain connector off an old keychain or something. Use it to attach the remaining chain in the switch to the piece that broke off.

    If this is not possible, you'll have to replace the switch. This is tricky because there are many variations available. Make sure you label the wires before removing them!
    Take the switch with you to the store.
