Does Brazil have any laws regarding allowing a convicted felon into the country to work?

I don't know about the laws in Brazil. What I do know is that if a person who has been convicted of a felony, has done their time and served their debt to society, and would look upon themselves as being a "former felon" rather than someone who will be judged forever based upon the worst thing that they ever did and not for the good they did in the past or might do in the future, they might stand a better chance at getting a job somewhere.

How a person gets a job is that they prove that they are the best person for the position based upon his or her ability to do the job and how he or she will serve the needs of the company for whom he or she might work the best and stand out as the best as compared to others who might also be applying for the position.

Depending on the type of work that a person might want to do in Brazil, it would help to know what type of conviction that it was in order to answer your question here and whether the person who is wanting a job is off parole or probation.

It is my understanding that Brazil is a reciprocal country - if the US allows Brazilian felons to enter, then Brazil will allow convicted US felons to enter. The US does not - routinely. Not saying that someone couldn't apply and argue a convincing scenario based on the type of felon.

As far as how long people should be punished for past deeds - that is not a question for the criminal boards or the law nor does it affect this situation. It's a matter of opinion (obviously).
