    You need to find out what kind of RAM your motherboard takes. This information should be available from the manufacturer of your computer (If it was a pre-built system) or the manufacturer of the motherboard. From there you can buy it from websites like Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

    A website like OEMPCWORLD.COM or KINGSTON.COM can help you identify the type of ram, too. They both have online databases that list all the computer models and associated memory options.
