    No water
We have a well with lots of water. We are having a problem getting the water from the well to the faucets and toilets. We can get water if we hold down the relay button manually. Plumbers are busy until Monday.: Can you help?

This tells me that you're getting power to the pump. Ther's a small tube that runs from the pump to the control box. If this tube were kinked or blocked it would give you the symptoms you describe. Check out the tube. **or** It could be a ruptured diaphragm in the control box. In which case replace the box. Good luck, Tom

What type of pump and controls do you have? Holding in the button tells me you may have a contactor. Is this industrial, commercial or residential? Do you know if you have single phase, or 3 phase power? If you put up some pics, it could help. Are you pretty good with electrical and do you have a test meter?

It could be as simple as the tube that Tom described. It could be a bad pressure switch... etc. If you're not handy with electrical, it would be bad if somebody got hurt.

You should be able to manually hold in the button, and let the pressure build up periodically. Don't hold it over 50 psi unless you know your pump went over that.

What area are you in? Another option might be to hook up to a neighbor's water for a couple of days with hoses.
