    Work injury!
I have emailed questions with regard to workmans comp in the past and I am still not sure about light duty I live in California.

I have two herniated discs and just had an epidural injection for the first time about a week ago. After the epidural injections I still have mucsle spasms, and pain associated with the sciatictia nerve.

I was off work for three weeks due to a flare up and have been on light duty for over 120 days I return to work on 8/11/08 and the only relief I get out of all of the drugs that I'm taking is from oxycodone I have to take two pils every four hours. I work for a major airline and my union ask me to have my weight restrictions lowered to 5 lbs. my question is while I am having non surgical treatment why is it my company insists on keeping me on the floor? And I have to be etrxa careful not to reinjure myself or as my attorney said I can jepordize my case.

What can I do to both protect myself and my job because my union seems to be running out of options and my Attorney seems to only be interested in getting paid.

    Thank you,

    Philly

None of that sounds right, philly. Your attorney is not working for you, or you would not be on the floor with weight restrictions and in pain. You should not be working at all.

    Suggestion: get another attorney.

If this is the treatment you are getting from your Union, then that job is not worth keeping, or the Union it belongs to. Unions always run out of options, that's how they make money.

Which union is it by the way ?

Philly, this is only my opinion. I am in a union too that has taken over all our health benefits (I must say they pay better), but I don't have any faith in them in other areas. I hope you get other feedback for this. I do remember your post from before.

Thank you tickle, I sure hope to get more feedback and by the way it is the IAM union.

    Thanks again,
