    Last year, Stoneland Corp reported the following: net sales of $400,00, net income of $24,000, and number of shares outstanding of 6,000. There were no preferred stock dividends. What was the earnings per share (EPS).

    net income of $24,000 / number of shares outstanding of 6,000

    24000/6000 = 4 eps
