VCR/DVD recorder with tuner hookup to record from TV.
How do I hook up a combination, vcr/dvd recorder, digital with tuner, so that it will record programs from the TV? That is record to the VCR. I have Basic Cable coming into the house.

I take it to mean you want to record programs.

Hook up the incoming cable IN to the recorder, then OUT to the TV. That way you should be able to watch one while recording another (TV/VCR button).

Well I have a HD-DVD recorder and my dad set it up pretty simply. It goes from our comcast (A/V OUT) to the DVD recorder(A/V IN) and (A/V OUT)- then into the TV (A/V IN). We also have a DVD player connecting to the DVD recorder so we can watch DVD's and record them.

I'd be more specific, but I think you get the idea
