Okay so I want to get my cartilage pierced, but I'm kind of scared and don't know much about it. Like is it safe? What's the best way to get it pierced? I don't know so could some one fill me in please! Thanks :)

I got my cartilage pierced about a month ago for my b-day, and I was sacred too but no it doesn't hurt it feels the same way when you get your ear pierced. It might hurt a little later like when you go to sleep on it or if you hair gets stuck around it and you pull it but other then that you should be fine...

Kait, you shouldn't worry so much.I have tones of piercings and some of them include my
Cartilage. It doesn't hurt at all.I think your letting it get to you,so just relax and everything will be OK.

Hiya (: I got my cartlige peirced December '07 and I went to a tattoo/peircing parlour and got it with a needle, there is no reason to be scared, it takes a mere 5minutes and its quick and easy, the best thing to do is get it with a needle, there is less chance of it getting infected or a shattered cartalige with a needle where as with a gun, its different. Usually with a needle a hoop is used because its safer, if you have any other probs. Then just email me at [email protected]... hope that helped, good luck! :) xo

The pain is different for every person, but I believe its one of the relatively painless ones.
I highly recommend to go to a tattoo parlor where they can pierce your ear, because the gun could shatter your cartilage, get stuck, and cause the piercing to heal a lot slower.
Also, titanium is the best to use, because its hypo-allergenic, and will help heal in case you are even slightly allergic to any metals.

I got mine periced with a gun. I know everyone says that you should go to a tattoo parlor and get it with a needle because its safer but I thought the gun was fine and it hardly hurt at all but its up to u.

I would strongly suggest going to a tattoo parlor. Its safer, and cleaner. I got one of mine pierced with a gun and I didn't get hurt, but at the time I also didn't know it was better to get it done with a needle. I did the other 2 on my own. Which is also something you could do.
Just please, stay away from the gun.
