Paternity after 15 years
What is the statue of limitations in the state of Texas for a paternity test after the father has signed the papers acknowledging that he is the father & after 15 years of paying court-ordered child support?

Are you saying the father now feels that he is not the father?
He can always go for a paternity test which is what you would need to start with.

The 1st time our child sees the father is on MYSPACE where he asks me about dna. He signed the papers admitting that he is the father, last seen the child 15 years ago. Really no reason that I can think of other then him saying that he has "no bond" with her, but he hasn't laid eyes on the child in 15 years. He had an opprurtunity to go overseas & play basketball when the child was 6 but because he owed approx. 12,000 in back child support @ that time, his passport was denied. Now you would think that if he had any doubt then that should have been the time to ask for the test.

So you are saying he is asking for the test now to get out of child support if he isn't the father.

Pretty much. I was told that he would have to hire an attorney & conduct his own test, then I was told no lage limit. Its just like why now? And he hasn't paid in over a year

He probably watched too much Maury with all the girls going through a bunch of guys and still not finding the dad so he probably figured he could try that as a possible out.
As long as you know there is no possible way he was not dad then he is wasting his time and money and would still end up owing.
He is probably working under the table if he isn't paying taxes.

Yes... he claims he has a CDL license which since I have't rcvd child support in over a year am trying to get revoked. When we went to court he says he was actually there for another girl & had her baby tested, but still no doubt for ours until now... the test is not the issue it's just after the fact... after the admission

He is just stalling something by wanting the test. Something put the bug in his head to question it.
