    Super tall stitch name
I know that 2 wraps around a crochet hook before entering the stitch is called a treble (triple) crochet. 3 wraps is a double treble, 4 wraps a treble treble... what is the proper name for a stitch that uses 5 wraps before entering the stitch? I can't find it anywhere.

    Thanks!

Thank you for your help, I'm looking for the name of the next in the series for how tall the stitch becomes. When I meant wraps I meant single crochet (sc) = 0 wraps, half double and double crochet = 1 wrap, treble = 2 wraps, double treble = 3 wraps, triple treble = 4 wraps, what is the name for the stitch that uses 5 wraps? Do you know?

    Thanks for your help!

    ilillys,
    Sorry,but I can't seem to find a 5 wrap stitch,the list I saw only includes till the 4 wraps.

Could it be the bullion stitch?

    ---------------------------------
    Roll or Bullion Stitch How-To
    "Roll or Bullion Stitch How-To

This stitch consists of a coil of wraps around the hook, through which the thread is drawn.

Wind thread around the hook smoothly 10 times (or as many times as called for in your directions); insert hook in work, wrap thread over hook and draw a loop through, wrap over hook again and draw carefully through the coil of all the loops on the hook, (you may find it necessary to pick the loops off the hook with your fingers, one at a time), wrap thread over hook again and draw through the remaining stitch.

The length of the roll stitch (bullion stitch) is determined by the number of wraps around the hook.

Handbook of Crochet, early 1900s, says this about the roll stitch (bullion stitch): "A slender needle, tapering to the hook, is better for the purpose than a straight one, and its passage through the coil or roll is facilitated if the latter be held firmly between the thumb and finger of the left hand as the hook is worked through by the right." (In the early 1900s, crochet hooks were often called crochet needles.) "
    ------------------------------------------

    EDIT::
Or could this be what you meant?
    FIVE TREBLE BOBBLE
    1. Work five treble crochet into one stitch leaving the last loop of each treble crochet on the hook.
    2. Yarn over and draw through all the loops on the hook.
More bulky bobbles can be secured with an exta chain stitch. If this is necessary it would be indicated within the pattern.
