    Fake windows update icon
Hi I'm having trouble with my PC, I get this icon for windows update (in red)(witch I think it's a fake icon to be a virus or something like that).

The PC run very slow and I can't open the task manager.

How can I spot this virus or trojan or whatever it can be and remove it?

PS: I have McAfee 2008 installed way before this started to happen.

    Thanks

I have seen a windows update box, in connection with accepting a friend invitation from my space, that always gets caught by my Avira Free Personal Antivirus.

It is a free download, and free daily updates.

Maybe try uninstalling McAfee, download free from avira.com, run a scan and see if it catches it.

    I believe it will?
