Hi, my toilet takes a really long time to fill up after flushing it, how can I fix this?

I solved a similar problem many years ago by installing Fluidmaster model 400A antisiphon fill valves in my two toilets. They have a float that slides vertically instead of pivoting on an arm. The water runs full blast and then cuts off quickly instead of the gradual tapering off the way standard valves operate. Since then the only problem I've had was resolved by replacing a rubber seal in the top of one of the valves (took about two minutes).

Note that I'm still using older toilets, so some of the newer low flow models might have different requirements, particularly the ones with pressurized tanks.

You may have dirt in your fill valve. Take it apart and clean it.

Also, open and close your toilet angle stop. There may be some dirt as well. By closing and opening the valve you will release dirt into the toilet tank.

The fluid master 400A only cost about $8 as Afaroo posted diagram just buy new and install it takes 3 minutes very very easy to do problem will be solved
