    Problems with laminate flooring!
Hope someone can shed some light... My husband and I bought laminte floor for our entire first floor and installed the easy half about 6 months ago. We have pets, and before we baought it we did research to make sure it could withstand water (we are planning to put it in the kitchen) etc. We were assured it would. 6 months later, it is lifting at the seems in some places. He is now afraid to instal the rest of it (including kitchen). Any suggestions, recourse? We will go talk to the people we bought it from, but anyone else have this prob? :(

I only had that problem when too much water was applied with a sponge mop when washing the floor. You absolutely cannot use a lot of water, possibly no water when cleaning a laminate floor. I have found though that the best grades don't get damaged quite as easily. There are different grades to this flooring. I didn't buy the best one because I wanted a quick fix so paid about $300CDN for a l8 by l2 floor. It served its purpose now I am going for guarry tile.
