    Wireless 300 feet
    Hi,
I need to have a wireless system work with a range of 300 feet. I have a Linksys Wireless N router. What else (possibly external anntena?? ) do I need to be able to get this range? If it is antenna, what kind? I am looking for the cheapest thing that will work.
This is going from a system in a house to a laptop. The laptop needs to pick up the signal up to 300 feet.

    Thanks,
    Cory

Also, if you decide to go with an omnidirectional external antenna, please secure your wireless LAN (should be doing so anyway) or you could find yourself providing free Internet access to the neighborhood.

Do a Google search on the Cantenna. It is easy to make and will extend your wireless access significantly.
