    HI,
    The slope-intercept form of an equation is:
    y = mx + b, where m is the slope, and b is the y-intercept.
    Your equation is:
    -2x - y = 6
    So, changing it around; y = -2x - 6.
    The slope of the line, with your equation is -2.
    If two lines are parallel, they have the same slope.
    So, the slope of another line, parallel to yours, is -2.
