What does 19 year old do when parents try to run her life?
I was gone all weekend with a friend. I just got home today and my parents said that they were going to drop the insurance on my car because I didn't go to work today. I was at my friends house. I don't know if I should move out or stay here.

You live at their house and it sounds like they pay the bills so they can pull the strings.
If you don't like it sure you can always make the decision to move.
They feel responsible for you since you are their daughter and they will feel responsible whatever why they feel fit.

I agree with Nohelp4u. I'm 20, and moved out when I was 15 because I didn't want to obey my parents... it was the worst mistake I've made in my life... You should listen to your parents... I know you don't want to hear this but it's true. They want the best for you despite the fact that you probably don't think that. They want you to be responsible and keep a job. :)

Yes, it appears you seem not to care about your job, ( which is needed to pay bills) and your parents are trying to teach you responsibility,

If they are paying some of the bills, I guess they expect you to go to work, being at a friend is no reason, being out all weekend is not a reason. I would agree with parents.

I too side with your parents. You are old enough that you can move out on your own and pay all your own bills and keep your own job in order to pay your own bills. This is completely up to you either you obey their rules and have the privilege to live under their roof and have them help with bills or move out.

Stay with your parents. Let them help guide you. Wanting to be able to decide things for yourself is normal. But they are taking care of you, in many ways that you aren't even thinking of. Respect their feelings if you want them to respect yours.

My 19-year-old daughter got kicked out. She did not respect my rules, yet wanted me to take care of her 100%. When we moved, she only moved the things from her bedroom because the rest of it "wasn't hers." Now, she is on her own and struggling.
