Need info

Me and my fiancé are split up but still living together due to our lease. She has made it clear that she doesn't want me any more, and that's fine. This past Friday I left town to go visit some friends. Sunday when I got home, I noticed that someone had sprayed round-up on my veggie garden and every other plant I own. I know she did it or @ least knows something about it because that's how she operates. She has done quite a few petty things of this nature. My question, or what I'm trying to learn is simple. I'm trying to understand why people do things like this. I did nothing to warrant this; I haven't botheredf her since she made it clear she didn't want me. Can anyone supply me with an explanation that makes sense? This seems so childish and trivial. What was the point?

If, after the break up, even though she stated she wanted nothing more to do with you, she could have been upset when you accepted that and did not continue to pursue her. Some people are just vindictive and defy explanation.

Would you be able to sign your part of the lease over to someone else (sub lease) or could she? Doesn't sound like a very good situation for you to be in. I don't see this going anywhere but down hill otherwise.

I agree with jrebel7... you need to find a way to move out. I also agree that she probably broke up with you expecting you to beg her to take you back. Now that you are not giving her the attention she wants, she is finding other ways to get some kind of reaction out of you. Her behavior is childish - but not uncommon.

I agree I would give her an ultimatum like if I am going to have problems here I will leave
But you would have to be prepared to continue paying whatever your lease says about breaking leases. The threat might make her straighten up though

Walk into the room where she is, go up to her, take her by the arms, draw her into a big warm hug, and while still hugging her, say "I forgive you for trying to kill my plants." Then give her one more big hug and walk away.

Put it behind you.

That should effectively bug the crap out her even more.

She would punch me if I did that! Oh, and by the way she did this almost 8 weeks after she made it clear that she wanted to move on.
