Aside from the walls within the shower enclosure; should wonderboard or a similar product be used on the walls outside of the shower enclosure. Is wonderboard recommended for the ceiling within a bathroom or will sheetrock suffice?

    Thank you

Wonderboard or Hardibacker must be used in the wet areas such as inside the shower. You could get away with drywall but for the same work and almost the same cost go with greenboard, blueboard or paperless drywall for the rest of the bath.
