Does anyone know the name of this short movie? A muppet like king and prince live underground, in a cemetery under a fallen tombstone. There is also the kings evil brother and his son who are muppets as well. They all look like trolls. There are some songs in the movie and the premise of the story is that the four of them are fighting over an artifact up at the surface, at a museum, and if they don't do anything with this artifact by midnight of Halloween, they will turn into stone. It ends up that the last one holding this artifact(which happens to be the evil brother and his son) turn to stone, at the last stroke of twelve. I know that it's not the Fraggles! Please HELP! It also feature the Marx brothers as muppets and they're called the two wise guys.

I know the exact special you speak of and I've been looking for this myself for over a decade. I seem to recall it being very early to mid 80's and believe I recall first seeing it on premium cable (HBO perhaps). I remember similar details, but no character names. If you find out any more info, please share it with me too. This is one of those situations where I was beginning to think I was mad or had imagined this from my childhood!

I don't want to get your hopes up or anything, but I bet you're thinking of "The Wickedest Witch". Look it up on tv.com to confirm. The little reptilian muppet thingies are Greivels. See if this website can help you make sure it's the same show:

Glad to hear I am not the only one who thinks they have imagined this. I am 41 and guessing it must have been in the 70's not 80's as I am not sure if muppets were mainstream then? If you ever find it would love to know the name. It was so creepy and would play around every halloween.

I believe you are looking for the title "The moonstone Gem"... king Gunther prized gem "The moonstone Gem" is stolen by the evil baron and his son. It was made in 1983 and runs for about 48 minutes

I don't think that is it! I looked at the cover of the movie on Ebay and it doesn't look familiar. Do the evil brother and his son turn into stone at the end of the movie?

Well, I found what the name of it is. It's called "The Crown of Bogg" It was a made for TV 30 minute show for HBO and Showtime, made in 1981 and it first aired in October of 1982. It was Directed by Bruce Murray and written by Tony Basilicato and by Paul Fusco who was most famous for the TV show "ALF". I am having the hardest time trying to find a copy of It anywhere. If anyone can find it, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!! Thanks to all of you who helped me find out what the name of it is. Especially sunandsurf, without you telling me about "The Moonstone Gem" which Paul Fusco also did, I would have never found it.

Hey I use to have this on VHS as a kid I watched this so much I remember it to this day the land of BOGG King Mildew and prince Milo heir to the thrown of bogg but milo has doubts about being the future king instead he want to go up to the outter world... alas I lost the VHS tape back in the early 90s but yes That guy that created Alf did do this and it was actually on YOUTUBE but copyright laws brought the short clip down... I recorded this just before halloween of the now defunct cable station ONTV here in Chicago... maybe somebody should ask Paul Fusco to try n release this puppet halloween show..
