    Cr. C sent to collections
Last summer I started a program to help pay off my credit card debt. I have a few cards on the program and I thought everything was going fine. However, a few weeks ago I was contacted by a collections company stating that I owe over $1400 and that they had not been receiving monthly payments, and the ones they had got were not for the agreed amount.

I will be contacting the company I signed up with and cancel any payments. I am lost right now, I know that I cannot afford each cc payment, are there any suggestions?

Try a more reputable counseling organization or deal directly with the lenders and work out an arrangement you can live with.

The real issue is that a credit card company does not have to agree to any plan or company. Also remember once you cancell that agreement, all of them will start coming back after you.

But if a card company will not deal with a counseling company there is no way to force them
