Details for finishing new sink/faucet plumbing hook ups
A plumber left us mid way through with only two copper hot and cold water lines coming up through the floor and cabinet. I want to finish the job and attach turn off valves and lines to the dishwasher and faucet. I believe I need to cut the caps off the copper pipes and attach two turn off valves on the hot water- one for the dishwasher and the other for the faucet. I assume the upper can go to the faucet and the lower to the dishwasher or the reverse just the same. I assume I need to have two copper T joints coming off the vertical copper hot pipe to which I can attach two turn off valves--unless there is a simpler way given perhaps valves that come as T shape joints. I have a question about what to use to attach the valves to the copper pipe, and what to use to continue to the faucet and dishwasher (some flex lines).

Here's how I would connect your sink. Shut the water off at the house shut off and cut the caps off the pipes. Now put two Sharkbite ells on the supplies and attach a short piece of copper in one end. On the cold side attach a compression angle stop,(see image) and on the hot side attach a three way compression stop.(see image). You may now purchase flexible supplies to hook up the faucet and run 3/8ths. Copper to the dishwasher.
A basin wrench, (see image) would sure come in handy for tightening up the nuts. Good luck, Tom
