    Compressor dead?
    On a compressor or motor, how would you check for open windings or if it was grounded?

    Continuity check from each winding to ground if you have it its grounded. Check from common to each leg of the motor if one is open its bad.

Hey we were out of town then came back and the ac breaker was tripped after turning on the fans run but the compressoe never kicks in we never had any problems with this unit before can some one give us some ideas were to start thanks:D
