    04 civic hybrid starting issue
OK, this has been going on for about a week now. I am NOT competent under the hood, so be gentle :)

Tried to turn it over and got a little cranking but mostly loud clicking noises and the lights going on and off. If it does turn over under these circumstances, the battery light will be on and it will take forever to charge with no enough power to run a radio and lower a window.

I have a portable battery and jump it. When I do, it starts right up with no other problems.

Ive cleaned the battery terminals and connectors yesterday. Seemed to help, but it happened again after 2 hours of sitting idle today. It started without help this morning (but I had a flat: when it rains... )

I probably won't try to fix this myself as Ill probably hurt myself trying. Any possible troubleshooting tips would be appreciated. (and yes, read the FAQ. Didn't understand it).

Now the side airbag light is going on and off intermittently.

    Anyone?

(PS, if I phrased the question improperly, point me in the right direction)

The 36-month battery, that came with the vehicle, likely needs replacing.
