Is there any sort of legal process going on to settle your mother's estate? Was there a will? Is the loan on the house? If it is the lender will wind up foreclosing if the debt is not paid. Then your sister will see how far her 9/10 gets her.

You really need legal counsel to sort through all of this. If there's equity in the house you may get an attorney who is willing to be paid out of the proceeds of the house sale.

9/10th is not the law. Don't let her bamboozle you, in the end it will be like Rockinmom said and she will be forced out of the house. After any debts you and her will probably split the difference unless there is a will and it says otherwise, assuming it is only you and her.

If there was no will the estate ( property etc ) should have been probated and a new title issued. During probate process is when the siblings claims come in and also the bills are tallyed. After the process is over distribution takes place to all eligible hiers.

If that didn't happen the something is very wrong. Look into it. There may be fraudulent paperwork floating around.
