    Availability of sedatives
What are some strong sedatives (not for sleeping, for rage and severe anxiety) that are generally OK to prescribe in the proper situation for the right purposes?

Are there injectables for immediate relief/restraint used by the general public?

I know about basic benzo's like xanax, atavan, valium, etc. I'm talking about something slightly to significantly stronger that is prescribed and used at home (not just in a nut house).

    Thanks.

I doubt anything like that is given out easily. You'd have to talk to your doctor who will tell you to go see a psychologist or a psychiatrist and then they will prescribe something and then'll you go back to the doctor.

    Sorry I can't name any.

I already see a psych. I just don't think he gets the full picture (or believes me totally) about my extreme rage.

The thing with me is, I'm normal when heavily sedated (like TOTALLY normal, not sleepy, just normal and rational) just like how supposedly ADD people take speed and it makes them normal...

You are taking "minor" traquilizers like Ativan right? The "major" tranquilizers are different. I don't know that much about them except to say that they do not make you "high." The minor tranquilizers are the feel-good ones. Major tranquilizers are for severe mental issues that you may not be exhibiting. Talk to your doctor about your rage and anxiety. Be graphic and tell him that you are very concerned about it. Does the Psych know how much medication you need to take to feel normal?
