When To Say I Love You.
Me and my girl have been dateing for 4 months (as of today :P). Now they say you will know when the time is right or when to say it but I don't. My worst fear is her getting scared and not replying (she has never been in a "real" relationship before).

Perhaps you can answer, and/or give yer story of when you said it.

When I was in high school, I dropped the L-word about 6 months into the relationship... then I realized, it was too soon. It was a high school relationship.

In college, I dropped the L-word a year into it. Again, too soon. I realized that I didn't love her. I was just dependent upon her.

I realized that there isn't a "right time" to say the L-word... but when you're a teenager... or even early 20s... what you think is love might not be love... it may be just a big infatuation, and afterwards, you may realize this.

I think 4 months is a tad too soon. For me, I think I'm going to wait... maybe 6 months... maybe a year... but it would really depend on the girl and the relationship.

If we are talking about her, the answer is never. How old are you?

I agree with Tal, I had to change my whole answer because I opened that post. This girl should be dropped without the slightest second thought. She is a mind playing, manipulative young lady that you are better without. I don't think you are in love with her, maybe just infatuated.
