Tool used for brass water manifold
I am in the process of finishing my basement bathroom and would like to do it all myself. However, our water lines are run through a pressurized brass "water manifold" with rubber tubing used for the water lines. Apparently a special tool is needed to add water lines to this "manifold" but I have no idea what it is called, what to look for or where to find it. What is the name of this tool and where do you think I can find one. Thank you for you help.

My guess (based on your description) is that you have PEX piping. New piping is attached to a manifold via crimping, whereby a special PEX ring is crimped around the connection using a PEX crimping tool.

No offense, but your reference to "rubber piping" tells me that you do not know too much about plumbing - at least not with PEX, that is. My advice? If you really want to do it yourself, make sure to buy or borrow a book or two about do-it-yourself plumbing, particularly books that have some comprehensive information about working with PEX.

    Good luck,
    Moishe

As usual Moshie was right on target. You will need special tools and fittings, (see image) to work on this system. Good luck, Tom
