    Hello,

    I was a F1 till September. From sep-dec I was on H1. Since it is not 180 days, can I request a refund of my social security and medicare taxes. Your answer would be a great help . Thanks

    No. You became liable for Social Security and Medicare taxes the day your H-1 visa was approved.
