    Prisoners have rights too!
My husband is incarcerated and has been for seven years. A young lady has proclaimed my husband as well as two other men to be the father of her son. One of the men is listed on the child's birth certificate. She also named her son after the other man but claims my husband is definitely the father. She explains her actions (birth certificate & the naming of her son) was because my husband was incarcerated and she was hurt. What rights does my husband have to establish paternity? People have told him to forget about it that she is obviously lying to him, but he and I both want to know the truth for many reasons. Her son believes that my husband is his father. Please help we need to be pointed in the right direction.

First thing is he or she would have to request a paternity (DNA) test.
Sounds to me like she wanted to claim someone that could pay child support because your husband was in jail at the time.
