    Income Tax
    Hi All
    Is relocation expenses exempted in income tax in India.

    Ex. If you spent Rs10000/- on relocation and your employer reimbursed only Rs5000/-. Is all 10000, or only diffrence 5000, or nothing is exempted.

    If your question is an income tax question for Indian Income Tax, I cannot answer your question. This forum is for United States Income Tax questions.

    If you want to know if such costs are deductible on your U.S. federal tax return, the answer is yes, it is deductible.
