    Personal check garnishments
I won my judgement in a small claim court. Now I'm trying to get this person to pay up and they won't. All kind of excuses are made to me. Is it possible that I can get paid by garnishing any type of money they receive. They owe me quite a bit of money... over $5,000.00.

Welcome to the Catch 22 of getting a judgement. Getting the judgement is the easy part. Collecting is the gotcha.

With the judgement you can get a writ of attachment against any cash assets they own. You may also be able to get a garnishment against their salary. But you need to know where they work or where they store their assets to collect them.
