Does this ceiling box have more than one wall switch controlling it, are there any switches controlling the ceiling box at all? Your black, white and ground are all that is needed to wire to your fans receiver. The receiver will have output wire black to the fan motor and blue to the light fixture, they both get a white neutral. You do not mention a bare or green wire to use for a ground, is there none?

What was installed in your ceiling before and how was it wired? Were the two whites connected together?
