    Engine Status Indicator Light, 2001 Dodge Ram 1500
    When light comes on , what do I check? It is the first light on the panel, and looks like a small motor.

    On my 94 Ram sometimes it was the gas cap. Not on correctly or not tight.

    Attach a code reader to the Data Link Connector, located under the dash.
