It has been decades since I was on active duty, but I think this situation needs someone from JAG to look at it. There may still be grave consequences for these actions. Certainly, it will have an affect on people's careers.

Just about anything up to and including court martial - depends on the circumstances, the "disgrace" brought upon the Military by the affair.
