    1993 VX ideling questions
Just bought a stock Vx and have some issues that I'm hoping to resolve. The idle is slightly rough, and coughs occasionally when accelerating. Also when screw the idle adjusting screw higher and then rev the car the rpms don't want to come down until I screw it back to the low idle. (btw what should the idle be for a 93 stock VX?). I tried checking for vac leaks (dont really know an accurate way) and cleaned the IACV. Looked for the FITV to clean it and didn''t know how to locate it. Does this car even have a FITV? My other problem is my horn isn''t working, it just makes a click sound; where is the horn located?

I also while looking for the fitv just unplugged a sensor on top of the throttle called sensor assy. Map and plugged it back in. the car started back up and then died, and now will not start up again. Did I screw something bad?? Help me I'm an idiot!

Perform tests in Sections A and B below:

Horn is behind front bumper. You may want to clean connections. Read additional stickies on adjusting idle rpm.

OK the car is starting up great now just because I let it sit for a couple of hours... but the idle still moves around a little and coughs when driving. Is the a fitv in this year and model? Where the hell is it so I can clean it? I have cleaned iacv, changed spark plugs and wires, new air filter and oil and oil filter. I checked for vacuum leak but not sure if my methods were that good.

I also forgot to mention that when there is an electrical load on it it seems to worsen. I turn te headlights on and the rpms drop 200-450 rpms and it jumps around more.

If your car drops 450 rpms you just stalled. These years of Honda idle 350 to 450 rpms seems low but that is factory idle. Try cleaning IAC & FITV then use seafoam both in TB & gas tank then give it a tune up. It will probably idle much better then.
