My toilet tank has a "bucket" in it that turns and empties when I flush, I assume this is a water conservation thing as it is a 1.6 gpf toilet. I think the bucket is not level, it is dripping from one side. I tried to level the whole tank but it started dripping from the tank to toilet connection. Can the inside "bucket" be leveled or is there a way to limit the amount of water in the "bucket"? I tried to find a diagram on-line but can't find my set-up.

I am not familiar with this type, but may have seen a couple that are similar.

I have seen them too but never installed or worked on them. The bucket, as I recall, serves as a timer to decide when the tank has drained enough water for a proper flush, in this case 1.6 g. Tom might has some pics.

I took a picture of the inside of the tank. It is a Niagara Flapperless toilet, which I actually found a little info on today.

Just not finding how to level the bucket, guess I should try to level the tank again. The drip is happening on the left side of the bucket in the picture.

I got a funny feeling when I saw this pic. I think this toilet may be out of code. What is the measurement from center of the toilet to the side walls? I have never worked on this model so sorry.

How about reducing the volume of water in the "bucket" itself... not much, but enough to stop the dripping..

Should be as easy as an adjustment at the float that I saw at the website for this unit. My guess is that if you lower the float a bit it will let less water enter the bucket and that should fix the dripping issue... I think... ;)

Ballenger - it is 15" from the center of the toilet to the wall. It is less than 5 years old, the HOA replaced them all to save water before I bought the place.

Massplumber - sounds like the perfect solution, I just need to figure out how exactly to lower the float. I'll give it a shot tonight.

I actually got a Kohler one piece 1.6 gpf toilet from a Habitat store and was planning on replacing this one when I remodel it. Any opinion on that, someone told me they don't flush very well.

You are within code so forget my funny feeling. Toto makes the best toiulets but you'll pay for that reputation. Have noit heard much about a Kohler one piece being a problem. Mark or Tom have more experience and will let you know for sure.

I got to tell you... I am also a huge fan of the TOTO toilets... but like Bob said.. can get expensive in a one-piece!

Kohler's one-piece toilets flush well, too... but would like to know the name on the one you purchased to be sure... ok?

And looks like you lower the float by twisting the knob at the end of the float (or moving lever..? )... or water level control will be at the left fill valve.. twist something... I guess.. ;)

I twisted the knob and it seems to have worked, thanks for the help. Much easier than I thought.

I'll go to my storage unit tonight and look at that toilet tonight for any name or model number. It was in perfect condition and the price was right. I saw them retailing for over $500 at Home Depot. It looks just like the Koher San Raphael One-Piece Elongated Toilet.
