•first, turn off the water to the house, second, take two pipe wrenches and unscrew the faucet, third, get some pipe tape and put it on the threads (about 3-5 turns), fourth, put the new one on the way the old one was removed and tightened it, fifth, turn the water back on and check every thing out for leak.

If it is just leaking you can remove the entire handle and stem. Replace the washer on the end, see the picture on first post, Good luck.

Depends on the type of piping you have. Copper piping will have either a sweat fitting or a threaded fitting. CPVC, and galvanized a threaded connection. If you have copper pipes it can have a threaded connection but is most likely a sweat or solder connection. If the inside wall where the faucet is mounted is a finished surface you will have to open the wall to see what kind of connection was used. If it's CPVC, I would open the wall to make sure that the piping was mounted properly so that faucet can be unscrewed without damaging the piping.

Depends on the type of plumb
