Why do I fall for guys so fast?
There is this guy that my niece set me up with. He called and we talked on the phone about twenty times before actually meeting. We got along great, I have been divorced for two years and his will be final in July. He told me he could not believe that I was real and he thought we were just meant for each other. Of course I ate all of his romantic talk up then he told me all of the sudden that he could not see or talk to me anymore because he thought he was in denial about how he felt for his exwife! He had assured me that I was not a rebound and that he was over her! I fell for all that crap, and ended up falling for him and now I can't get him out of my head and I wonder how to go on. It seems like I always end up getting the shaft and I am sick of being hurt all of the time! Does anyone have any answers or suggestions?

I've said this on my other post, RELATIONSHIPS DO COME AND NOT FORCED. Just always think that you are a special person and there's really one out there destinied SPECIALLY for you. LOVE IS A DECISION-should be thought well and free from any unrealistic ideas from lovestories we grew up with.

No, reply, but you are not alone,
Love is a gift, we give, and receive,
Life is very short, take with that, all the good, fly with the memory,
Until the next time, hold fast to your heart a little longer.
I know sounds funny, but I lost my love at 45, after 21+yr
Then another at 48, so I have to believe,

You fall for guys so fast because you were designed that way. You want to be in a relationship, you are instinctively attracted to men and mistake it for love. It's just primal attraction. But it's OK either way.

The only thing you need to develop is some pragmatism. Since you are so easily drawn into passionate feelings, remember that when things don't work out. You're going to fall again, and pretty quickly, probably, as soon as you get out there and meet some more new prospects.

It's in your nature. You can't help it, you're a lover. You're going to be fine.

Just be careful, falling in love is easy. CHOOSING TO STAY in a relationship only after you've found out you're ACTUALLY compatible on enough levels... that's hard. Be alert.
