Have you listened to any 90's grunge/alternative? That's my favorite... if you have Sirius satellite radio, Lithium is the channel (6024 on Dish Network). All the greats! If you don't have satellite radio, you totally should get it. You could really find new music because you listen to music by genre...
As far as anything newer, I've recently gotten into Flyleaf. I agree with the Ting Tings! I love them! Katy Perry is good, too. Have you heard of Adele? Chasing Pavements is the single out now. Try it out!

Some old school stuff (ha) that I like are Girls Against Boys (amazing band) Garbage, Silverchair, Goldfinger, Guttermouth, NoFx, The Vandals (the last 3 are more punk-y but still great), Bullet for my Valentine, Atreyu, Mewithyou, Simon Says is good too... and of course, the best band EVER... Zebrahead. :)

Are you looking for a completely different music genre?
I'm into all the screamy emo stuff, like Escape the Fate, Panic! Funneral for a Friend and Rise Against. But I've started listening to completely different music.
I like Reggae and Ska now. You should search bands like Reel Big Fish, Sublime and there's also this really amazing band called "Cake" (really old band) you can search on places like YouTube before you actually download.
