    Metoprolol is a beta blocker, some other names are Betaloc, Betaloc Durules, Lopresor, Lopressor, Lopressor SR, Nu-Metop, Novometoprol and Toprol-XL. It is used for high blood pressure.

    It helps after a stent procedure to lower the pressure of the blood circulating through the veins and arteries.
