    Changing a name
    I would like to take my in laws name off the mortgage and deed and put mine name on. How can I do this and who do I go to to get this done... thanks

    You buy the property from them, to change the name on the mortgage you have to finance it ( or be allowed to take over their mortage)
    So you apply for the lender toallow you to take over the mortgage, or apply and find your own loan to pay off their loan.
