Tires now squeal after I had them rotated
I just had my car in for service and I asked them to rotate the tires while they were inspecting the brakes. Well now the tires are properly inflated but they squeal when I go around a curve or turn. Is this just the tire rotation causing this? If I needed an alignment wouldn't the old tire arrangement have squealed too? I had them move front to back and side to side but did not put the spare into the rotation since it has a plug in it.

Inspect the tires now on the front for uneven wear on the outside shoulders. If they are worn excessively, they will need replaced.
I recommend that if you don't recall the last time the alignment was checked, or if has been more than one year or 15,000 miles, get it checked again. To see if any adjusmtents are necessary, many shops will offer an "alignment check" at a reduced rate, as compared to "alignment adjustment." This way, you don't pay full price unless your vehicle needs those adjustments. Call around and ask about technician credentials and what warranties are offered by each shop. You could also ask about the equipment they use: age and frequency of usage. Newer equipment that has the most current calibrations, and is used by experienced technicians would be your best bet.
    I hope this helps.

Dryer squeal [ 4 Answers ]

Every time I start my dryer it squeals for about 3-5 minutes, yet runs normal. It is a very high pitched earpiercing squeal, so loud you can't stand to be in the room with it. I think it's the idler pulley but don't want to order parts until I'm sure. Anybody have any experience with this problem?
