hello, everybody, I'm not native speaker, but I have to write an assignment in English.

and I found my vocabs is not enough because I have used this phrase "what's worse" and "even worse" for so many times already.

could you give out some other similar expression, I really don't want to make teacher feel sick of my article, thanks a lot~

You could say
In comparison, the worse case scenario would be...

You think that is bad, this is really horrible...

Comparing
The Ford Escort is inferior to the Thunderbird.

Or you could use the positive
The better choice is the combo meal.
I prefer the black leather shoes over the brown man made ones.

You don't have to tell the reader that what you are about to mention is worse... let them make that judgement, or use words that describe the situation.

For ex, instead of writing "flooding in the midwest has driven many from their homes and into crowded shelters. even worse, the liklihood their water-soaked houses are salvagable diminishes with every passing day."

You could start the second sentence with "tragically, the liklihood" or "sadly..." or "unfortunately..."

So use a word that describes the situation... the reader will understand by the content of the sentence that what you are describing escalates the situation.

Words like "additionally", or "likewise", or "furthermore" all show the next sentence is extending the description of whatever you are talking about.
